KKND2 Krossfire PC Free Download Review

In KKND2 Krossfire, a post-apocalyptic real-time strategy game from Australian developer Beam International, players are tasked with building and managing their own army to conquer the wasteland. The game boasts of having the best AI in the genre, but unfortunately, this is not entirely true.

The gameplay revolves around building an army of bombers, transports, and infantry units, as well as bigger tanks and truly devastating really big tanks. Each side has its equivalent, making it difficult for players to find a unique strategy. The lack of creativity severely limits the replay value, as once you know one side's abilities, you essentially know them all.

However, the game does excel in terms of graphics. Units are well-designed with lots of variations between sides, and controlling high ground is a huge advantage. Players can shoot down over cliffs but cannot return fire if they're below. The terrain is also effective, with infantry units able to move through trees while vehicles get stuck.

The addition of new sides, such as the Series 9 agricultural robots, doesn't significantly impact gameplay, making it feel repetitive. Strategy Plus' review accurately sums up the game's ambition but lack of innovation: 'KKND2 Krossfire starts its story forty years after its predecessor and boasts of 'the best AI in the genre,' when in fact the AI is not even intelligent enough to do pathfinding properly.'

Despite its limitations, KKND2 Krossfire has some innovative features, pleasant graphics, and a decent plot. Overall, it's a fun post-apocalyptic RTS game that's worth checking out for fans of the genre.
